Nanomechanical resonators
Tchefor Ndukem has developed our fabrication recipe to produce simple radio frequency nanomechanical resonators. The figure shows an example resonator. We have measured our first resonators in the lab with resonant frequency of 16 MHz and high quality factors at 4.2K, Q=20,000. An example of a similar resonator is shown in the figure: length of ~10 microns, width and thickness of 150 nanometers.
We are on our way to integrate this resonator with a superconducting coplanar wave guide.....
