
Brin is majoring in physics and minoring in music as a rising senior here at Cornell. For the past two summers she worked with Herschel Rabitz at Princeton University investigating quantum control theory. Her research was based on exploring the interaction between molecular forces and dynamic observables, by analyzing the sensitivity of certain input variables to slight changes in the Hamiltonian.
She has only recently joined the Schwab group, and is enjoying becoming more familiar with low temperature physics. So far she has been designing components for the group's new refrigerator.
Brin also plays flute in the Cornell University Wind Ensemble, and likes to run long distance (when Ithaca's weather permits...that is).
